New Year's Resolution: Become a MEDA Tax Volunteer

Here’s a New Year’s resolution that’s sure to generate impact: Become a MEDA tax volunteer and give back to the low-income Mission community.

MEDA is the largest free VITA tax service in the Bay Area, but that takes volunteers … like you. The upcoming season runs from Jan. 22 to April 15. (Read of last season’s impact.)

Becoming a MEDA tax volunteer is easy
Signing up takes just five minutes.

It’s easy …

  • MEDA will work with your schedule. Remember: Nights and weekends are also busy times at our tax sites.
  • MEDA will train you and you can volunteer within your comfort level. Also, 20 percent of our volunteers serve as greeters and do not prepare taxes.
  • MEDA has three other San Francisco sites in addition to our main site at our Plaza Adelante Mission neighborhood center (2301 Mission St. @ 19th).
  • Monolingual Spanish? Bilingual? English only? All options are good.
