b'A 2021 was another year of incomparable achievements by the MEDA team. While continuing our urgent pandemic-response work, we never MESSAGE lost sight of the big picture. MEDA translates this aspirational vision into risk-taking andFROMstrategic action to ensureof opportunity for all,OUR CEO securing a life of for community members and working towardto foster systems change. These three powerful words are showcased by the ongoing impact of our asset-building programs, which have been the foundation of our work since our organizations inception in 1973. I am pleased to announce that in 2021 MEDA was able to refocus on these programs that run the gamut from financial coaching and job training to small business workshops and affordable housing opportunities. With regard to the public health crisis, our organization continued to successfully meet the urgent needs of low-income Latinos during the ongoing pandemic. A majority being essential workers and far too many living in overcrowded households led to our community being dispro-portionately affected by COVID-19, both economically and physically. 2'
