Berlina Ceguerra
Chief Operating Officer
Berlina O. Ceguerra has been with MEDA since 2020 starting as the Director of Human Resources and Operations before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer. She brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources focusing on organizational effectiveness, engagement/retention, and transformational people systems change. She has worked in various industries, including technology and financial services.
Berlina’s broad experience across various organizations has honed her diverse perspective on managing dynamic and complex operational challenges. Her unique experience and outlook have served MEDA well, as MEDA and its diversified programs and service areas respond to the current challenges nonprofits face. Berlina is helping MEDA grow and evolve operationally while maintaining its cultural uniqueness and focus on equity, activation, audacity, togetherness, and impact.
As an immigrant she started her life in the U.S. living in the Mission District. Berlina personally understands the obstacles, opportunities and dreams families bring with them to this nation, and she is excited to support MEDA’s vision and honorable mission.
Berlina earned a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, with a double major in Psychology and Economics. Berlina loves to travel to experience different cultures and cuisines.
