Casa Adelante – 681 Florida

Developers: MEDA and Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC)
Address: 681 Florida St., San Francisco, CA 94110
Phone: 415-358-3938

Developed by MEDA and Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), 681 Florida brought 130 affordable homes to the heart of the Mission, including for families who were formerly unhoused.

This nine-story, all-electric building was designed with and for the community. It includes on-site social services, a childcare unit, shared courtyard, rooftop urban agriculture, and a dedicated support team from TNDC and MEDA to help residents stay stably housed.

The ground floor features 9,250 square feet of arts-focused PDR space, activated in partnership with Cultura y Arte Nativa de las Americas (CANA), organizers of the city’s annual Carnaval Festival. This space supports cultural programming that connects residents with the surrounding neighborhood.

681 Florida was built with sustainability, stability, and cultural placekeeping at its core—and stands as a powerful example of what community-led development can look like in San Francisco.
