Once a vacant, underutilized lot, this former bakery site has been transformed into a vibrant, mixed-use development that reflects the Mission’s spirit and meets the needs of its families.

Developed by MEDA and TNDC, and designed by LMS Architects, the project includes over 50% two- and three-bedroom units—responding to feedback from the community and the City of San Francisco about the need for more family-friendly affordable housing. The building enhances pedestrian safety by activating the street, supports working families with an on-site early childhood education center and other resident services, and preserves creative space through dedicated Production, Distribution, and Repair (PDR) areas focused on the arts.

This development honors the industrial legacy of the site while building a future rooted in culture, community, and long-term stability.
