Salesforce Developer Volunteer

Program Summary: 

Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) is a community-based, local economic development organization which has engaged individuals and small businesses in community-building strategies for over 40 years.  Our mission is to achieve economic justice for San Francisco’s low and moderate income Latino families through asset development.

In 2013, MEDA switched our database systems to Salesforce.  We are currently utilizing the system to manage donors, as well as track client information for all programs.  In the coming year, in line with our goal of system integration will all of our Mission Promise Neighborhood (MPN) partners, we plan to launch a shared network with a referral tool we are building to complete the pipeline of services. 

Purpose:

Share your advanced Salesforce skills to help us optimize our systems and fully utilize our database. You will work with our Systems Administrator to support system optimization, provide technical support and maintenance and help us support our Mission Promise Neighborhood partners in system administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Systems Administrator to help us develop a shared network with MPN partners
  • Help to build the referral tool
  • Work with partners to develop and build systems
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information. 

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Salesforce
  • Experience utilizing and optimizing the Non-profit Starter Pack (NPSP)
  • Experience utilizing and optimizing Apps. For Salesforce (especially Exponent/ECM).
  • Must be extremely reliable and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Interest in our Mission and helping us achieve our outcomes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Time Commitment:

  • We do require some availability during normal business hours at MEDA’s offices and visiting our partner’s offices, though some work may be done remotely
  • We ask for a 6 month commitment, and that you volunteer at least 2 hours per week.
