The Mission Promise Neighborhood (MPN) collaborative and Mission Graduates are excited to announce the 10th annual MPN scholarship fundraising campaign! For the past decade, the MPN scholarship has helped graduating seniors from John O’Connell High School in San Francisco’s Mission District take the next step toward higher education. As we launch our fundraising campaign, we invite you to be part of this incredible milestone and help us continue this life-changing work.
Our Goal: $3,000 to Empower Three Students
Starting April 1st, we are seeking to raise $3,000 and award scholarships to college-bound seniors who have demonstrated:
- Financial need
- Dedication to their community
- Exceptional academic achievement
A Decade of Changing Lives
Since 2015, MPN has awarded 44 scholarships, giving hardworking students the support they need to pursue their college dreams. But this scholarship is more than just financial assistance—it’s recognition, opportunity, and relief from the financial burden of higher education.
One of last year’s recipients, Diana, shared the impact of her scholarship:
“I won’t have to worry about financial help. This will also help my mom without having to worry about giving me money for books and school necessities.”
Diana’s story reflects a reality faced by so many students in the Mission District. The rising cost of college can put higher education out of reach, but together, we can help change that.
